The rich literary heritage of Bengal, Bangla the language known as, is considered the best expressed in lyrics and short stories over the ages. For over hundred years Bangla short stories are being translated in different Indian and other international languages. From Rabindranath Tagore, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, Tara Shankar and Manik Bandopadhyay till today tens of thousands of short stories have been read by generations. The social, personal, political, economic and familial relationships affecting man-in-society are depicted in these short stories. It has now become imperative for all of us to draw a focus on these literary expositions in a broader scale for the people of India here and elsewhere through the audio-visual medium and present them for continuous interpretation and re-interpretations by generations across. Each story will be tele-formed and segmented in 6 episodes or at the maximum 12 episodes to be put on to air for six days from Monday to Saturday. Important directors will take the charge of making such tele-film serialized. This venture will be doubtlessly unique in presentation and construction as well as attractive to draw viewers of various age groups.

An accident occurs. Subir and Mita with Tatai, their small child got injured. Injury of Mita is so serious that it takes her to a nursing home to stay for treatment. We come to know about her parents, in-laws and the intricate relations amongst them. Mita being in the nursing home, her sister Preeti takes the charge to look after Mtia’s son Tatai. Subir has a sister Sukanya, a law-student. The circumstances brings Preeti and Subir closer to each other. They fell in love. Subir is engaged in rural politics, promoting and construction. Mita comes back home with crutch. She had always been protester to all criminal activities and illegal practices of Subir. Physically challenged Mita fails to resist Subir to make love with Preeti. Mita gets neurotic and was sent to asylum for treatment. Subir has now immense money-power and which made him reckless, ferocious and violent. On the other side Sukanya, a lady for her love and affection to Mita begins to fight against evil force (Subir) with the help of Ansuman, her friend and a legal practitioner. She is so determined that she would not leave anything to fight for re-instating Mita in the family. Brought back to home, Mita starts a construction-business. Story now revolves round Sukanya’s personal problem but she ignores and helps Mita to dream for future. Gaurmohan, old timer in politics, believer in truth comes to Mita to be involved in politics and contest in the local election.
